Third Party Intervention

Here are the services we provide if you have damaged a third party vehicle.

This is referred to as third party intervention.

Third Party Contact

To control claims costs against you or your insurer, we would look to contact the third party within 1 hour of notification.

Vehicle Repair

We look to convert the third party into our repairer network to reduce costs and control the downtime on their vehicle.

Vehicle Supply

Through our repair network, we can arrange a courtesy vehicle for the third party or a low cost hire vehicle.

Service Overview – Third Party Intervention

If you have damaged a third party vehicle, this service is designed to control and hopefully reduce third party damage costs without sacrificing repair quality or mobility for the third party.

The Services we can arrange are;

  • Contacting the third party within 1 hour of notification.
  • Assessing the third party’s requirements.
  • Providing access to our repair network to enable repair costs to be controlled.
  • Arranging an estimate at one of our network repairers.
  • Once the estimate is prepared, obtaining authority from the insurer or who is ultimately paying the third party damage costs.
  • Organising a replacement vehicle for the third party. This may be a courtesy car or if that is not suitable, we can arrange a hire vehicle from one of our national suppliers.
  • Once repair costs are agreed and repairs are started, we would monitor the repair progress to ensure any downtime is kept to a minimum.

  • Assistance for your internal fleet department or insurer with our ability to contact the third party and offer services within 1 hour.
  • Reduction in credit hire charges levied by the third party.
  • More control of the repair costs leading to a reduction in claims experience.
  • Less overall exposure to inflated third party damage costs.
